Original ShapeOko expanded to 900x1800mm Akron OH

I purchased the original ShapeOko (before they had numbers lol) and loved it! Then broke it all down and ordered all the parts to make it bigger. Long story short I had to take it all apart again and pack it up. I am thinking about selling it but not sure there would be any interest in it with the n...

Re: New Project Section for Website (BETA!)

First I just want to say thanks for all your hard work (and everyone else that helps), I love the ShapeOko, the Wiki, and the Forum. I have discovered so many new things here and its great. I like the new projects submission, but when I posted my project it did not post the photo or tell me why. Aft...

I am cutting it out of Mahogany, I will update with the bit sizes and feed rates when I get back to the shop where I wrote it down...

Re: Finally... 4th axis

ThatDamnGuy, That is possible but now right now. Maybe in 2 weeks from now. My Shapeoko is not at my place because I don't have enough space. The setup is quite hasardous for now :) I also have to give my shapeoko a higher Z so the axis can actually pass below the endmill. Right now the spindle is ...

That would be great. Thanks!

Re: Arduino and GRBL Replacement Options for use with Mach3

Thanks for the quick and detailed response cvoinescu, I understand most of it lol. Building the Shapeoko was my first adventure into the Arduino and GRBL world, so the electronics and steppers are all new to me. Do you or anyone else reading know of a place that shows some wiring layouts for the set...

Arduino and GRBL Replacement Options for use with Mach3

Hello, I am looking for some advice/expert opinion/or user experiences. I am building a new router that will be 1800mm x 900mm, and I am planning on using 4 NEMA 23 steppers (dual Y’s), a Dewalt 660, and Mach3. I want to add limit switches and a homing setup. Does anyone have some suggestions to wha...
