R2C2 Electronics for sale
Hello All, I am looking to sell an R2C2 Starter Kit + 24V 220W power supply . I purchased the kit because I was interested in checking out an ARM based electronics platform for 3D printing and Milling. I can say that it is a very nice board, with great speed potential. I put it together with an esha...

Drag Chain Sources / Experiences / DIY
Hello All, I've seen some great builds here with drag chains which have either been fabricated or purchased. I would like to gather this experience in a thread to get a better idea of what worked, what did not, and general guidelines to choosing and dimensioning drag chain for cable management. I've...

Re: Dual Y-Drive causing a lot of heat!
Excellent stuff. Y is moving smoothly with both motors in series. Running @ 24V, from what I've read this is a good scenario for running the motors in series.

Re: Dual Y-Drive causing a lot of heat!
Anyone care to make a better graphic for this? I am trying to do the same, but not sure I have it correct.
I can make (a much better) graphic, once I have the right connections...

Re: ShapeOko + RAMBo Electronics?
@akhlut This is the kind of response that makes a person want to be part of a community! Excellent points. For the mosfets, I will not be needing more than 24v...probably can even get away with 12v...need to check the current, but thus far, other seemingly similar electronics have been able to drive...

Re: ShapeOko + RAMBo Electronics?
Yes! I am intrigued by the ARM offerings in this field: Smoothie: http://smoothieware.org/smoothieboard 4pi: https://0xfb.com/shop.html R2C2: http://www.3dprinting-r2c2.com/?q=content/r2c2-documentation But this does deviate from the original discussion. I suppose the conclusion of that is, yes, a R...

Re: ShapeOko + RAMBo Electronics?
Thanks for the reply! I was thinking I would need dual y, but the shaft approach would interfere with having a free bed area. I think I will go with the dual y, two motors, two drivers as you mention. Might be good to get the ACME Z upgrade for the ShapeOko. I guess I am getting a bit caught up in t...

ShapeOko + RAMBo Electronics?
Has anyone tried this combination: ShapeOko + RAMBo electronics? I have been doing some looking around and trying to find a form factor for my next 3D printing project. My main concern was to have bed be free of movement, meaning not involved in the x, y, or z movement. Sitting in our lab, looking a...
