The same size MakerSlide profile but the new ones come in black.
>>Will Inventables still sell the SO2 size upgrade kit?

Re: Looks like the Shapeoko 2 has been discontinued
1. The are holes that the drag chain mounts screw in to. 2. The reason the spindle is 24V is because then you only need 1 power supply to run both the spindle and the stepper motors. We got appropriately sized wires and designed a PCB for the power supply to make the hookup easier. You can plug the ...

Video Review of Shapeoko + Clock project
Bob over at I Like to Make Stuff recently bought a Shapeoko and did a video review. He posted it on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iIge3fqiW8 I thought folks on the Forum might like to check it out. He didn't make anything in the review video but then I saw this other video in the recomme...

Re: Just received an email - Easel is available at Inventabl
Hi Everyone, Sorry for the confusion about logging in. We added a "Sign In" button to the homepage: http://www.easel.com You login with your Inventables account but it needs to be activated first. We activated lots of folks but if it doesn't work instantly it either means you created a demo account ...

I use https://www.inventables.com/technologie ... piral-bits but they have an 1/8" shank.
These are more expensive but have a 1/4"

Re: What is a good inexpensive "test" material for milling?
I've been using foam core boards. You can set the depth per pass as thick as the board and do the entire job in one pass. They are cheap too.

Re: Z-Axis stopped responding
Good call. Looks like the stepper is fine and I broke the driver. I replaced the g-shield and I'm back up and running but when it steps down I get a weird knocking sound. When it steps up it sounds smooth. While doing an air job... When it goes up it's got that nice smooth zing zing zing zing When i...

Z-Axis stopped responding
I was running a job and the Z-Axis stopped responding. I am not able to drive in with Gcode Sender either. I did some inspection and one of the wires on the Z was loose. I got a screw driver and tightened it but still nothing.
Does this mean I shorted the Z-axis stepper and I need a new G-shield?
