Ordered a runout gauge to measure the CauCau and set up a crude bench test today. Have now gotten most of the parts needed for the build, except the hardware kit from A/S/L, although it should ship this week. Curious what the runout on that spindle is, it's very cheap. It is, unfortunately I haven't got the tools to measure the runout (yet at least), so I'll just have to see how it performs when I finish up my build and start cutting. I'm possibly looking to upgrade to a chinese spindle in the future so...

Received my Cau Cau today. Still haven't got my mechanical eShapeoko kit so I have no use for it yet, but I weighed it and it came in at 1600 grams.
