Re: Support for DXF Files Ever?

I'm not finding one that is truly free. I've tried 4 different ones now and they're just using tricks like free to "download" but you can't convert without paying for it or other limitations.

Re: Support for DXF Files Ever?

Opening a DXF in inskscape scales the drawings to the size of the document, so I lose the dimension precision.

Re: Mark II

I wish I had found this thread sooner. I just completed the framing of my custom design that has an open front for longer material and I could of took some inspiration from the Mark II. One thing I would like to see consideration for on the Mark II is clamping rails. For my expansion I took one piec...

3D Printed Dremel Mount

Dremel mount that attaches to the the ShapeOko spindle attachments. The Dremel screws into the bottom and the top clamps down for a secure vertical fit. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:147565 http://thingiverse-production.s3.amazonaws.com/renders/cc/34/fb/16/ce/ShapeOkoDremelMountAttached_preview_f...

Support for DXF Files Ever?

I like how simple and easy it is to use MakerCAM, but I find it challenging to get my files into SVG format. I like to use LibreCAD for 2D drawings, but no export to SVG. I like to use FreeCAD for my 3D drawings, but the SVG export has an unknown px/in. Is MakerCAM still being developed? If so is DX...

Re: Slow site

Alright guys (and gals?), the server size has been upgraded and it appears (at least to me!) to be moving MUCH faster now. Sorry for all the hassles.. seems like if it's not one thing, well... it's another. Hopefully the new server size will tide us over for a while. -Edward Thanks Edward. It's run...

Re: Slow site

Edward,

Anything new on the site slowness situation? Honestly, I feel like I'm back in the 90's on dial-up or something.

Re: My baby has landed in Oz!

Max Metz, Do you have any more information on this jig? It's not clear to me how it's used. As my first project I'm wanting to cut acrylic to enclose my power supply and electronics. It turns out to be too large. I came to the forum figuring someone must have already documented a process for cutting...

New Adjustable Belt Tensioner

I designed another belt clamp with an adjustable screw. I intend to mount limit switches on the side of this bracket.

Re: How to flash grbl to your Arduino (Tutorial)

Good summary. Information I got from other sites was not as concise. You're purple command is missing the dash in front of the U parameter though. /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/tools/avr/bin/avrdude -C /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/tools/avr/...
