Re: Edge lit Plexiglass night light
......Here is the night light lit up
Night light turned on Note in this image the small ring on top where the plexi enters was not there, I added the upper ring to the base to further hide the led lights below.

Re: Need help getting aspire to work with shapeoko2
Hi Scott I use Aspire with my Shapeoko 2 and it works great I am also running TinyG instead of GRBL . I could have a look at your gcode if you want to send it over and see if I can determine what is causing the issue. Also confirm what controller you are using..

@briankb - I have actually been using the post processor that comes with Vectric Aspire and is the Standard GCode mm Post processor and it has been working very well but I did make a minor modification to introduce the M3 and M5 S8000 commands to control my spindle start, stop and speak, at the begi...

I would recommend you try the latest edge build found here: http://synthetos.github.io if that does not resolve you issue I would post your inquiry to the tinyG forum : h...

Re: Shop-vac for dust collection - air reduction
Don't think it is an issue on heat but more of the fine dust clogging the filter and into the motor that ultimately led to the demise of my shop vacs with the Dust Deputy no dust ever gets past it even the finest particles...

Re: Limit switches & auto tool height setter?
@chmedly
you are correct i have my alligator clips wired to the z-min and ground with a 1K resistor in series with the plate and z-input and the other is wired to ground directly. I have had no issues with static and I live in the local Mountains where the air is dry and static is prevalent....
