Re: shapeoko made this 3d printer
My understanding was that most threaded rod is not perfectly straight so one end should be free to not induce any x wobble. Are you seeing any of that? The funny thing is you guys are looking for bigger printers while I have a fairly large one (Ultimax from Ultibots) and looking to build a smaller o...

Re: $150 off Misumi Promotion
I'm trying to set up an individual account and it requires a company name. Are people just using their full name, something different, or is there a different type of user account?

That is one more than I have gotten. So I think it is closed or the registration is very manual.Althiels wrote:I've signed up and gotten one email since, have they allowed people to play with the software yet? I can't seem to use it yet....

Re: I'm Having Trouble with GRBL and Windows
Almost all of the settings for mine were wrong. After one run nothing seemed to work including the $ command. I used XLoader with a few hex files from the grbl page with no luck. The I found a hex file somewhere in the ShapeOko wiki. After that I was able to use the calculator to get the correct val...

Re: Is this normal or am I tightening my v-wheels to much?
You either have them way too tight or I have mine way too loose. I adjusted mine based on a video or two I saw on the open rails sales site. I just tightened them until I could not feel the wheels tapping into the rail when I tried to lift the end of the motor plate I was adjusting away from the rai...

$100 3D Printer - Kickstarter
I was looking around on Kickstarter for some low cost 3D printers last night and came across this. I always hate it when I find out about a project on there and the early "get this completely assembled for $400 and everybody else will have to pay $1000 for a bag of parts" rewards are all taken. And ...
