Re: Homing via Chilipeppr and Tinyg?

Your parameters look OK, assuming that you do have NO switches.
Do you have an A axis? If not, set $asn=0.
Not clear that the current setting should be an issue, however.

Re: Need Help with Mechanical Limit Switch Wiring for homing

So any ground is fine for the braided wire? Just for more info I do not have the wire yet It was just a random google image to confirm type of wire I should get. The switch I have actually reads NO, NC and Com. Disregard other markings I mentioned. It is a simple black switch with no LED or board a...

Re: Need Help with Mechanical Limit Switch Wiring for homing

Thanks, I did read through the Github but if I am not mistaken the line "To connect a switch to an input pin simply wire the switch across the ground and the input." is the only reference to wiring. I just wanted to clarify a bit more. Just to clarify cmcgrath5035 I am using a simple mechanical swi...

Re: Need Help with Mechanical Limit Switch Wiring for homing

Wil's reference is rather comprehensive on the topic-should answer your question. My general suggestions: 1. Always use shielded cable 2. Ground shield at tinyG end Only. 3. One wire to tinyG Ground 4. Other wire to tinyG Port Pin (e.g. Xmin, Ymin). 5 COM lead on switch to the grounded wire(NOT to S...

Re: Feed hold & Resume button

There are no physical I/Os on tinyG for hold and resume, just serial messages.
If you are a Chilipeppr user, there are widgets to interface pendants.

Re: What config settings do I change to calibrate xyz?

You should run tests with limits disabled just to be sure.
Perhaps run without belts to see if motors will free rotate first.

Sounds to me like a stepper motor issue

Re: What config settings do I change to calibrate xyz?

Parameters look good. If after check of wiring problems with X motor continue, try connecting X motor to motor2 driver and Y motor to motor 1 driver and changed parameters accordingly. f the problemems stay with motor driver 1, you might have a defective tinyG. If problems follow the X motor(when co...

Re: What config settings do I change to calibrate xyz?

If X motor problems continue, post a copy of your $$ parameters to a cloud drive and put a URL here.

What Gcode sender do you use?

Re: What config settings do I change to calibrate xyz?

Steps per revolution is a physical property of the stepper motor. Most typical steppers are 200 steps per revolution, some are 400. The steps per revolution parameter for tinyG is entered as the Step angle, 360/200=1.8deg. $_sa=1.8 To 'tune in' X,Y and Z travel, tweak the $_tr, travel per revolution...

Re: TinyG UGS Power Supply Stepper Motor Strange Phenomenon

From UGS enter $$ command, copy the parameters to a cloud file and post the URL for a look. The most up to date FW is $fb=440.20 If tinyG "thinks" a limit switch fired, it stops and the SpinDir LED flashes quickly. Only way to recover from that is reset button (or Power cycle tinyG. Noise spikes can...
