Re: Adding LEDs to GAUPS shield to monitor motors

Thanks Catalin for the suggestion, that definitely sounds like the best way. I've included the holes in my design, and will hopefully get the panel milled this weekend, and the PCB soon(ish!) after.

Cheers

Adding LEDs to GAUPS shield to monitor motors

Hey everyone, I am finally getting to completing my eShapeoko electronics enclosure. It's been a "prototype" for a while now, and is basically an aluminium flight case with a panel on top of the bottom half. This is a fairly old photo of it - I've added switches here and there to the acrylic top whe...

Re: Simple Measuring Unit

I meant to add, that I have no idea if the above modification to GRBL would be feasible. If anyone thinks it could be I think we could have a nice solution on our hands and would like to hear from them!

Re: Simple Measuring Unit

Hi GrblGru, I too have thought about something like this and have yet to implement a touch probe on my machine. Unfortunately work has left very little time to spend on my machine, but it is slowly gaining the features I want. I suppose one benefit of being a Geologist in the current oil price situa...

Re: Quick change mount for Makita RT070x - the pragmatic way

Hi Will, The secondary bases are pretty cheap - Makita do various types, an offset, plunge and bevel are available in addition to the 'trimmer' base. I found that the bevel was the cheapest and easiest to convert for what I wanted: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181424071566?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksi...

Quick change mount for Makita RT070x - the pragmatic way

So way back in 2013 I was planning out my eShapeoko build. I'm currently, slowly, building my machine - I travel quite a lot so sadly that breaks it up, plus I seem to have a compulsion to finish everything before I get it running. The electronics enclosure keeps getting slightly more complicated ea...

Ah, forgot to link http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oFDSvup45kE/UgF4LmK70RI/AAAAAAAAAa8/xr8od55qYEs/s1600/Schematic.jpg I quite like the Ice Blue Stepsticks - they are open source, 100% pin compatible with the pololu drivers and is equivalent to the Black Edition. They can handle 2A and are surprisingly ch...

Motor driver board inexplicable death

Hi everyone, I'm still assembling my eShapeoko. It's almost there :D still waiting on the power supply to be delivered and wrapping up the final touches (limit switch wiring, enclosure etc.) Yesterday I built, assembled and fitted Catalin's deluxe frame upgrade which has provided noticeable stabilit...

Re: Custom 1/8" Collet for Makita RT0701C Trim Router

Dear Peter and gang, My collet arrived last week (Wednesday, I believe). I was pretty amazed at the speed that it arrived! So far I have been unable to actually test it, being preoccupied with building my eShapeoko :D I should be up and running soon. I test fitted it into my RT0700c - I was slightly...
