Re: Aluminum spindle mounts for Makita RT0701c

I'm fairly certain it will work with the acme upgrade. I don't have the upgrade to test, but I've milled the bearing pocket so the bearing sits at the same height as the stock mounts. It will definitely not work with the NEMA 23 upgrade though... I'll PM you. You can make it work with the ACME scre...

Re: Connectors for wiring a machine?

The Azteeg X5 uses the AMP 2510 (Molex KK) connectors.

www.tridprinting.com sells some that work or they can be found on Mouser electronics.

I have an X5 for a 3D printer so I know the tridprinting ones work.

Re: Wiring limit/homing switches - Help with the basics

I have no idea if my plan is going to work but I'm using twisted pair with mechanical switches and thinking of using opto-isolators to run those circuits at 24V to help with noise. The switch would trigger the 24V circuit with an appropriate current limiting resistor to the LED side of the opto-isol...

Re: a better gocde sender for OSX

You don't necessarily have to go WiFi. There are Bluetooth 4.0 adapters that can connect easily to an Arduino board. I have one but am so far behind on my "experiments", I believe it connects to an SPI port on the Arduino. http://redbearlab.com/blemini/ Or in "shield" form http://redbearlab.com/bles...

Re: Enhanced Z-clearance motor mount plates for NEMA 17

It should be fine with either. For the Acme screw I just had to get creative and capture the bearing a little different and cut down a stock motor plate to the profile of his parts. Once I did that I just used the new plates with the spring washer with teh modified motor plate on the bottom and its ...
