Re: my new horizontal work-holding clamps

Here are some new horizontal work-holding clamps for my ShapeOKO 2 that I designed in Fusion 360 and printed on a Makerbot Replicator 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9x7S5f6Poc&feature=youtu.be I'm not in a position to watch the video, so would you mind answering what the spacing of your waste ...

Re: OctoPi With S3?

I love Octoprint and would love to see a working port that is publicly available. That being said, I also seem to remember John Lauer saying that you can run serial port JSON server on the pi, and connect to it from any browser running chilipeppr. I've been quite impress with Chilipeppr compared to ...

Re: Are you Happy with Quiet cut spindle ?

Something isn't right I think. I can cut hardwood ply all day long with a 300w spindle with depth at 1-1.2mm and feeds of 1000-1200mm/min Suggest verifying spindle speed as mentioned above and verifying that end mill is in good condition. Use a loupe if you have one or replace with new end mill. Al...

I'm curious too. I was hoping to build a 4' x 4' cutting area machine around the S03 rail, but as we've recently learned that doesn't seem like an option.

Re: Shapeoko 3 customization ideas / options

Hmm, interesting validation that the eXcellent Competition came to fairly similar arrangement for their ordering system. The SO3 Update #4 of NEMA23 motors w/ wires of specific lengths and connectors is kind of interesting --- would it then be feasible for an upgrade kit to have extension wires w/ ...

Re: How to increase Shapeoko2 speed (movement speed)

Good afternoon guys, I'm wasting to much time looking at the machine while it moves from a point to another when it is not cutting...Do you know how I can change that? I know how to increase the catting spped (aka feedrate) but not the general speed of the machine when it's not cutting...The softwa...

Re: Award Plaque

I volunteered to create an award plaque for a large donation to cub scout pack 159. First time using a ball nose bit. 0.125" shank, 0.087" ball http://www.shapeoko.com/projects/images/thumb_141.jpg That looks very nice, would you mind posting some additional angles and details? What were the speeds...
