Re: Inventables censorship?

Plus, my understanding is that a segment of talk has been cut from the video, too. We don't really know what was there. I don't think the design in itself is objectionable enough to justify Inventables' request not to be mentioned (bearing in mind the risk of Streisand Effect), but I can easily see...

Inventables censorship?

I came across a video from someone claiming Inventables contacted him about removing their logo. It seems they were offended by a female silhouette made on one of their Xcarve machines. I have to admit that I do find it a bit humorous, but I also think it leans more towards Inventables being ridicul...

Re: V wheel tightness

This stuff lasts for ever and works greats, my previous can lasted me a good year. I use it on my SO2, table saw, drill press, and anything else with adjustment levers, gears, or wheels that I don't want collecting dust. Currently I am using WD-40 PTFE spray as Lowes was out of Dupont, any brand sh...

I went back and looked at delrin and PTFE again. And indeed, liquid lubricant will be a problem. This is what I was referring to: http://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Non-Stick-Dry-Film-Lubricant-14-Ounce/dp/B00D3G6IFE I have used that lubricant on my 3D printer and it is not a dust magnet, it does its job...

Re: How can I install all Nema 23's on my ShapeOko 2?

It's the other way around. The direct drive worked with the stock M8 screw but the belt drive kits require the ACME upgrade. Otherwise the only thing holding the Z axis up would be the set screws on the pulley. Did I reference the wrong product? I was referring to the old product in attached image....

Re: How can I install all Nema 23's on my ShapeOko 2?

In reference to Z axis only. ImprobableConstruct used to offer a NEMA23 direct drive upgrade that only worked with his Z Acme upgrade. As far as I know that was replaced with the Belt Drive kits, one for NEMA17 and one for NEMA23. Regardless of the stepper, these kits will work for the orginal M8 le...

No there should not be and if I recall correctly, you would not be the first person to do so.
