I'll give that a go this weekend, I think.
Any updates to that?

Re: Don't buy this hotend

The easiest thing to tell is the number of slots in the peek is 4 then its fake. Apparent in most photos. If the hotend is too wrapped up in tape to count the slots then don't buy a hotend from that moron either even if he has the right parts as he has taped over all venting. (http://www.amazon.com/...

Re: The Tap kit doesn't work

Yes on mine its too loose. Notice in your pic that when the tool in tightened on the bit that there is still a gap (red arrows)? I tightened my tool until no more gap existed and my bit still turns and can be pulled out by hand, but barely. Should be visible in my pics how tight I made it. Since I'm...

Curved material surface

Is there a CAM tool that you can define a curve for your material surface and get your z depth to adjust for the curvature of the surface? My matrial is slightly domed and too thin to take a consistant depth.

Re: Makercam changing my files

Combine all of the elements into a single path in Inkscape before importing into MakerCAM. See: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/MakerCAM#Features where it says: svg import and export --- please note that under certain circumstances, MakerCAM only imports the first path in register at the ori...

Makercam changing my files

I made a simple file in inkscape. Outside rectangle, smaller inside rectangle, then 3 evenly spaced 1" circles inside that. I load the SVG in make cam and the 3 circles are moved on the y axis all at different locations. The circles must be precise location so I can't just drag them back. I tried us...

Re: The Tap kit doesn't work

See, I'm confused. If the hole is too big, why would it need tapping in to the inner jaws? Could you post a photo or two perhaps? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk I posted photos via the link. The inner jaws are too small the outer jaws are too big. Its moot now. I bought my own tap kit like it...

Re: Help Shapeoko 2 Z axis won't budge!

Two things here. My m8 screw wobbles as well but I don't think a little will make a difference due to the makerslide/v-wheel keeping things aligned. But I may eat those words later. 1. If you tighten your Z Axis v-wheels too much you can have a binding issue or at least make your motor work harder. ...
