It is open source and available free with the option to donate.

Re: Is my Shield fault?
Well all i can definitely say is that a motor doing nothing actually takes more power (i.e. generates heat) than a motor running, so that is part of the story right there. Correct and I understand that, however when you cannot put the finger on a chip after 45 seconds without screaming in pain, whe...

Is my Shield fault?
I have a Gshield that came with my shapeoko2, and I have always had issues with it being noisy on z axis and missing occasional steps, and running hot even with heatsink and active cooling, and even with lowest pot setting it still runs Burning to touch hot. I plug in shield, turn on and do NOTHING ...

Re: Help Cutting MDF
I've had excellent results with MDF. This is 1/2" MDF. The holes were cut with a 2 flute 1/8" fish tail bit (18,000 rpm / 73 ipm) sold by Precise Bits. The perimeter was an Anama 1/4" "O" Flute bit (12,000 rpm / 70 ipm). How do you find the noise with the 2 flute fish tail? wit the bur bit I can ha...

Although these same endmills cut 3mm Acrylic like butter (obviously as stated im using a new one for the mdf) I am wondering could it be the MDF supply it...

Re: Has anyone in this forum used Estlcam ?
I have used it for quite a while now as CAM software, and its brilliant and easy to use as that. It also doubles as a controller, flashing your arduino with its own software, I am recently trying it out and it works pretty decent, founda few problems where it is cutting fine then just goes all out o...
