Re: Overly Complicated (But Cheap) Dust Separation Contrapti

Nice project. :) I personally went for a double cyclone where the top is made from wood (milled with my ShapeOko, of course) and the cones are bottles from a particular brand of soft drink. Here's video of my test: https://player.vimeo.com/video/132748981 It collects the dust nicely but bigger piece...

Re: Milling a Dominion turntable

Wow! That's a whole lot of work, particularly when you encountered your missed steps. I particularly like the way you work around the limitations of the software by creating a new way of doing things. Your workflow obviously works for you, but I would encourage you to look at CamBam (free for 40 se...

Re: Milling a Dominion turntable

Thank you, guys! :D

@Gadgetman! : Good points about using OpenSCAD. I like OpenSCAD, too... :)

@northbear: The first thing my friend did when I gave him the turntable was exactly that: Giving it a sharp spin and watch the cards fly out...

Milling a Dominion turntable

Hi I would just like to share a project with you. I used my Shapeoko 2 to mill at Dominion turntable (Dominion is a card game) that looks like this: dominion turntable.jpg I've taken the opportunity to make a tutorial for those who are interested. You can find it here: http://www.henningandersen.com...

Re: Strange error at Gcode Sender Version 1.0.7

I've seen the same problem and I programmed a small windows program to fix the problem.

If you're interested in giving it a go, please find it attached.

Re: GRBL Freezes while sending a file

Hi, I'm so happy that I found this thread. I experienced the same problem several times and was just about to give up on my ShapeOko when I saw this. I've added a ferrit clamp to my USB cable and I moved the power supply for the GRBL shield to another power outlet. Since then I've had no problems. ...

Re: Universal Gcode Sender v1.0.7 released!

gperzel,

It does. I use Windows XP and Java 7 (release 55) on an old computer to control my ShapeOko and it works fine. :)
