S2 for sale - S O L D !!!

Have an S2 for sale. Pick up only - I will NOT ship this. I am in the middle of northern Illinois, about 60 miles south of the Wisconsin line. ShapeOko 2 mostly stock, with Quiet spindle and extra collets. Has worked, undid the wiring to re-do but have not put it back together. Running out of room i...

Re: S3 is cutting faceted line segments instead of smooth sp

You really need to read your program and find out whether it is calling for a smooth arc or a series of lines. If it is calling for a series of lines, the problem is in that end of your process. If the program calls for a smooth arc, then you may be feeding it too quickly and the tool is actually fl...

Re: Stick with Blender, OpenSCAD or migrate to Fusion360 ?

I loved drafting class. I still have my favorite mechanical pencil from 1966, but I've lost the black rotating sharpener. Why yes, I am an olde phart. :) I gave most of my drafting stuff to the local high school when I went to the computer. Wish I had it still. (I'm not a youngster any more either....

Re: Stick with Blender, OpenSCAD or migrate to Fusion360 ?

I like Fusion 360. However, I use Autodesk Inventor and Autocad every day at work. For me the work flow seems right. For you, I would think you might like to stay with what you know. Fusion 360 is free for hobbyists. I believe Blender is free as well, but I am not sure. Sticking with what you know c...

Re: Shapeoko 3 XL upgrade --- Some thoughts

I picked up a really cool little tool kit recently. Helps with a lot of small stuff. Similar to this one on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/iFixit-Pro-Tech-Toolkit-Tool-Set-Repair-Gadgets-New-/221484491185?hash=item33918121b1:g:E6cAAOSwEK9TtfSm Made for phones and computers, it seems to have a bunch o...

Re: Australian DPW611?

Just to further that, in the US, we have pipe which is nominal in size. Different thicknesses of wall are related to a schedule number, but the pipe is always the same OD for the same size pipe. For example: a nominal 3/4 inch pipe is actually 1.05 inches OD, and schedule 40 has a 0.113 inch wall wh...

Re: A better Fusion360 - GRBL PostProcessor

It has been a while, but isn't there a "safety height' or something like that? I would think this would be the place to set that height so it wouldn't scrape along the board like that.

Re: Squaring X Axis Carriage/Z Axis Plate

Looks to me like you could add a washer behind your V-wheels to push the bottom of your Z-axis plate out. I don't have an S3, so this is just based on the picture I see here.
