Re: leaking current? shortage? static electricity?

Okay smart people, Take a look at the content below and let me know what I missed. Background Ground loops are almost always a problem when they arise. The most common type of ground loop encountered is when two pieces of audio equipment are plugged into separate AC outlets and are connected between...

Re: leaking current? shortage? static electricity?

Take a look at this: http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3592 I'm thinking the plastic washer suggestion is a good idea. I've seen a few posts now that could very well be attributed to a potential difference. For me the ground loop isolator worked, but I'm going to run out now and check th...

Re: DW660 Dust Shoe DWG File

I'm using the file IC provided on the wiki: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Dewalt_DW660_Dust_Shoe I did some measurements on my DW660 and the drawing was off by a factor of 25.4, so it was just a matter of units. It may be my oh-so-crappy understanding of CAD, but I thought the units of a dr...

DW660 Dust Shoe DWG File

Hey All, Has anybody had any issues opening IC's DW660 dust shoe file? Regardless of what I open it in the dimension are *way* outta whack. As I understand it, the units of measure are set at the time the file is generated...and that jives with my attempts to fix the issue (my unsuccessful attempts,...

Fusion 360 grbl Post Processing Script

Hello Folks, For those of you using Fusion 360 I have a request, could you try out the enclosed files to see if they work as post scripts for grbl/gShield? I've tried the gShield.cps and it appeared to work, but my design was fairly simple. The only apparent problem I had was that UGS seemed to have...

Re: USB Ground Loop

Okay, it appears that commands are passing just fine through the USB isolator. With that being said, I've been browsing the forums and I don't think this is an isolated issue. There are reports of device failures that could very well be attributed to large potential differences between the ground pl...

Grblshield Micro stepping Settings

Hey All,

What are the proper micro stepping settings for the SO2? Right now I've got this:

X=8
Y=8
Z=2

And given that I'm a complete noob, what is the practical implication of altering these settings?

Thanks!
