Just in the last week I've experimented with modifying the plastic name plates everyone has on their desk at the office (a fake wood front, which is cut past for white lettering). I tried two or three 2-flute bits (including 2 V-point ones for engraving), which failed miserably. Even at my DW611's ...

Your system needs to: read G-code from a file interpret the G-code plan the motions generate step and direction signals count step pulses to determine the required current in each motor winding put that much current through the motor In all cases, your motor drivers (e.g. Allegro A4988...
