Re: Is the Shapeoko the right tool for me? Marine Acrylic Wo

The Shapeoko will certainly do what you need. There was a little learning curve for me but that is because I am fairly computer illiterate. I think you'd be happy with the results but that is just my opinion.

Just thought I'd show the fact that the tiling function of Vectrics v-carve works with the Shapeoko 3 XXL. :D 8" long made with HDPE.

Carbide 3d new spotlight video

I am honored to be the first to be featured in Carbide's new series. Edward (@Shapeoko) came to visit me in September and this is what came of it. Please let me know your thoughts.

Haven't tried on my Shapeoko3 XXL but I cut this on the laser tonight. Might cut it in acrylic and see what it looks like lit up. :D

I'm in Springfield, Va. (about an hour from you) if you can't find anyone closer. I have a Shapeoko 3 XXL and am willing to share tips with you if you need anything.

I know I don't post here much but I thought this project was too good not to share. My shop door made out of solid Cherry and cut with my Shapeoko XXL.

Sorry I can't help with the job stopping but did want to warn about leaving the machine unattended overnight.

Re: Can Bondo be cut without cracking?

I would use 5 minute epoxy. It can be dyed any color you want and cuts like acrylic.
