i'm just running the test run at the moment.



g21 (nn)
g0 x0 y0 z0 (zero point)

g3 (turn on laser)
g1 x10 (burn a test line)
g5 (turn off laser)

g0 x0 y2 z2 (go to the beginning of the next line)

g3
g1 x10 (burn another test line)
g5
(and repeat)

pretty sure it's 0.8, however to be 100% sure i also tested on both pins 11 & 12, no difference

Shapeoko 2 + Laser - Cant get working

Hi Guys, had my shapeoko 2 for a while and finally pulled out the laser i've had that i bought off ebay year and a half ago... The laser i got was the one recommended on the WIKI http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Laser_Cutter I cant seem to get it working. Power is working, the Fan is rotating ...

they are the stock standard parts. ( apart from nema 23's which are same steps )

so Nema 23s are 200 steps.

pretty sure Stock Pulley is 20 teeth
26054-03 20 1/4 in Dual 2 mm 6 mm

Cutting Size Different to Design ( scaling down)

Hi guys, for some reason all my cuts aren't coming out at the right size. for testing purposes, I cut a 60mm circle Pocket and it reduced it back to about 48mm cant figure out why.... any ideas ? about to test with a 2d Profile Toolpath to see if that scales down also i'm Using "Aspire" for design, ...

So i found out what the problem was, as usual, user error. Yes it was the Fxx numbers that were wrong after looking through all the code ( after actually knowing what it now meant ) in aspire, the bit feed speed was set at 200.... however it was mm/sec instead of mm/min so yeah, it's was actually tr...

ok... SO THAT FIXED IT... however another problem and an additional question Firstly... G90 was said to be added... what exactly does that do and how do i add it ? what is the command and what is the value ? secondly the second problem the feed speed is still WAY too fast i've adjusted $4=129 down t...

yeah they are from inventables.. ok 200 steps, i'll change it around. hopefully that fixes it.

wont get to test for a couple of days, will post with results
