Re: ShapeOko 3 assembly problems, tips and tricks?

When using the eccentric nuts, do the eccentric side lay flat against the carriage plate or do the flush side of the eccentric nut lay flat against the carriage plate? I actually think I figured this one out. They actually slide into the hole. If not correct let me know. When placing the GT2 pulley ...

Re: ShapeOko 3 assembly problems, tips and tricks?

I can't believe I'm struggling with something so simple. I am now just assembling the waste board to the frame. I am a little confused from the instructions. Do the PEM nuts all face the bottom? Will the PEM nuts be sitting on the table when the frame is completed? Is there on the M5 x 16mm screws u...

Does anyone do CAD work for commission

I need some CAD work done. It way over my ability. I need to make a plastic clamshell for some vintage toys. I'm not sure if Shapeeoko would be able to cut all the necessary angles. Probably would have to make it in sections and then assemble. I can give some drawings

Re: What machine do I buy next?

When I was in college I was trying to sell my old stuff to have extra going out money. I grabbed some of my old toys and looked them up on eBay. This is when I discovered the packages can cost more than the original toy. I usually pay 35 to 50 for original toy plastic blister. I then reproduce and s...

Re: What machine do I buy next?

I buy all my material from Expedx. I can't remember the name of the glue off hand. I used two types. One came in a spray can which worked okay, the glue I currently use I roll it on. I then have two large boards it sits between for a about a day. I know I could buy thicker material to print on but n...

Re: How to prepare for Shapeoko 3 - New to CNC

I was looking at purchasing some cheap end mills. I'm sure I'm going to break a few before getting the hang of things. I plan on just cutting wood at first. Would the end mills work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Extra-Long-1pc-2mm-3-Flute-HSS-Aluminium-End-Mill-Cutter-CNC-Bit-Extended-/321592042138?pt=LH...
