Re: Using a BeagleBone Black

Do you know if it's possible to setup the raspberry pi / beaglebone + arduino + gshield and use it as a remote control. (installing debian and json server) What I really mean is: is it possible to setup a job using chilipepper on my Mac browser remotely and shutdown the Mac? Or, the web browser mus...

Re: Using a BeagleBone Black

From what I've read on the github files for the server, it seems as though if you were to shutdown the mac, it wouldn't affect the connected device (for example, the RPi Beagle). I've been meaning to set up something like that, but I haven't found time. I might be able to over next week, on my break...

Re: Axis Wire Management

Oh heeeey. I hadn't seen that on the wiki. I should probably do a bit more research before posting. Thanks!

Axis Wire Management

I'm sure not many other people are having this problem, or if they do, they don't see it as so, but I'm getting REALLY annoyed with the wiring from the stepper motors to the gShield. Any recommendations on wire management?

Re: Weird movement of gantry

Thank you, I'll have a look later. To be more precise, the X carriage is the one that's rotating, and the MakerSlide is the rotational center.

Weird movement of gantry

Background: I assembled my Shapeoko 2 a few months ago, and I noticed this as soon as it was finished, but I didn't think it would have much of an impact. I've used it for a few projects, and haven't seen any impact, but I feel as though this shouldn't happen, and therefore should be fixed as soon a...

Re: Using a BeagleBone Black

I did a bit of research, and it is possible! The program for ChiliPeppr's host server has a precompiled binary that can be run on the Beaglebone Black, along with some other software for a USB camera (I've seen OpenCV pop up a few times, but I'm sure there are alternatives). I think I may use this i...

Re: Quiet Cut Spindle power supply

Okay, thanks for the input. On a side note, would it be possible to use the E-Stop for both the gShield and the spindle controller?

EDIT
Disregard that, I found some posts on it in the forum. Thanks!

Quiet Cut Spindle power supply

Would it be possible to use the Quiet Cut Spindle's power supply to power both the spindle controller AND the gShield itself? I'm getting kind of tired of having to plug all these cords into the wall :?
