Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Release notes V3.40 I have recently been repeatedly referred to the clamping board I used in the last video. That's why I decided to introduce my self-made clamping system and of course the small clamping device. For those who want to try it out in practice, I have also included a template in the pr...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Release notes V3.39 the topic of measuring and probing with the help of the G38.2 function hasn't quite let go of me yet. It's fascinating what you can do with a 10 Euro Arduino and the GRBL program. A friend of mine provided me with an old discarded probe, with which I could demonstrate the handlin...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

AlexMoon, the GCode is calculated when you open or change a value in the measurement dialog. You can view the generated GCode in the editor. ( 4th toolbar button from the left ) To start the correct measurement on the machine, just press the green 'Start' button. Have a look at the video from 7:50. ...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Release notes V3.38 In my new program version V3.38 I once again worked with the function G38.2 for milling. This good and at the same time easy to use function makes it possible to scan uneven surfaces, e.g. to engrave them afterwards. The same applies to the production of PCBs, where any unevennes...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Release V3.37 Most of the changes in the new version concern the lathe mode again. Because Carbide inserts are used more and more often on hobby lathes, I have now added this type of tool to my program. In addition, I have revised the complete turning handling once again and I hope that the operatio...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Alexmoon,
your suggestion sounds very interesting. Most of the required functions are already included in the current GrblGru version.
But the projection of a GCode program on the height map I still have to create.
It would be helpful if you could provide me with a GCode example file.

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

@Alexmoon Thanks :) I've checked the problem now. So far I have only tried the probe in the ShapeOko2_Probe model. Your 3D model must have a probe (green probe), which you have to save under t++.stl. It is my mistake that the program crashes if no button is present. I'll fix that in the next version...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

@Leonardo Thanks for your feedback. I am glad that the download is working again and that I can work on the program again. Thanks also for your suggestions to the carbide inserts. I can't find a document about the existing tool holder. The ISO 1832 only defines the inserts. For example, the angle 80...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

I'm sorry that the download from my dropbox doesn't work anymore.
On http://GrblGru.com I have now set up a simple homepage from which the download should be possible again. Please inform me if there are any problems.

@Alexmoon
Please give me a little time. I'll get back to you.
