It is? I don't recall receiving one...

Definitely no drag chain in the regular Shapeoko2.

On another note, my wires are all neatly contained :D

What do I do with all these wires?

Ive had my machine together awhile now, but havent gotten around to cleaning up the wires from the motors.

I dont recall seeing any instructions on how to align these properly (so they dont get tangled with the wheels)

Do I just run them along the makerslide out of the way of the wheels?

MakerCam calculation messing up design

Not sure whats going on here. I'm trying to make a sign, I did the text in Inkscape, and then uploaded the SVG to MakerCam. I select everything, and then do a pocket operation. It looks good after I do this. However, once I calculate, the last 4 letters of my sign show the toolpath going over the te...

Re: Damn you Shapeoko!!!

To be honest, I was very intimidated about purchasing a Shapeoko2, considering I had NO experience with CNC/routing/3D Printing/Electronics, etc... At most I've put together Ikea furniture and changed a light socket. But I pulled it off over 2 days. (Probably 15 hours of build time) The machine is r...

Re: Z axis not moving, cutting inverted?

Thanks Will! Should a little bit of wire be showing at each screw in the terminal blocks then?? (I have to wrap all the wires and secure them anyways, so ill make sure the wires are properly set. Its a pain in the ass trying to get them to stay on the screw!) Also, Im not grasping my x,y,z axis, In ...

Re: Z axis not moving, cutting inverted?

Think I found the problem with my Z axis, when I edited the settings in the gcodesender, I put $2=3220.000 instead of $2=320.000

Whoops...

Still not sure why things are backwards though

Z axis not moving, cutting inverted?

I have my machine all together, last night it was working, but my first Hello World job was inverted. Destroyed 2 Sharpies in the process, RIP. Went to start testing things today, and now my Z axis isn't moving. When I try to jog it, it makes noise, but doesn't move. However, when I do a reset to ze...
