Foam Needle Cutter
I have added a foam needle cutter to the tools I use on my Shapeoko platform. I build custom fishing rods and will make eva foam handles with inlays. To do this, you need to make cuts with little to no kerf. Getting precision fits can be difficult due to the small detail size. Billy Vivona is the cr...

Re: Dust Shoe for Proxxon Mount
new shoe mount.txt new shoe mount.txt new shoe mount.txt These are the files for the dust shoe in GCode. The vacuum hose hole is too large so you should measure yours and make the changes in the code or just say the heck with it and put some tape around the hose end. Take a little time to look at t...

Re: HAL 9000
Thanks Guys. A little more info: I used a pushbutton from adafruit.com, there is a tutorial for the massive arcade button there. 3/4" aluminum for the frame, drilled and tapped. Used 1/4" delrin for the backing plate that was milled for the button bezel, another 1/4" delrin for the backing plate tha...

Re: RepStrapOko
WillAdams, I print in PLA and run extruder at 200C. Could probably drop down to 185C if I was messing around. I just use blue painters tape and if I'm having difficulty with the print sticking, wipe it with alcohol. It'll stick for sure then. I don't use my heated bed for PLA but I have a piece of g...

Fishing rod
I used my shapeoko to laser cut for foam inlays, to shape the foam handles and to laser engrave the rod itself. DSCF3019.jpg For the inlays, I cut the EVA foam at about 1/2 watt. For shaping the foam I used a rotary attachment I had built using a stepper motor connected to one of the axis. 100 mm, 1...

Re: Mudsharks' #0054 Upgrade
Yes, I use exclusively. I had the dial indicator on there to demonstrate accuracy. I have a proxxon so I clip it directly to the bit. The offset value for the copper clad board is on another page in Mach3.

Pretty much dead on, 0.8mm. Once again not too speedy but I like to break up my passes by a multiple.
