I've been wanting to try out fusion 360 for a while -- do you know if that post processor works well for the Shapeoko 2, or is it really just for the 3 and Nomad?

Re: A

Hmm, I came here to double-check the wiki, as the feeds and speeds entry refers to this thread, but I can't find these numbers here anywhere. It looks like maybe cam edited away all his comments? Is there anyway to see the original? Relevant part of the wiki says: DW660: single flute end mill, 30000...

Re: Engagement Ring Box

Congrats! My justification for buying my S2 was that I'm going to make a ringbox, too, here in the next few months. I'm currently planning a hopelessly over-complicated one, but I really like yours, too, and it's making me reconsider....

Re: Makercam Y-axis oddities

Thanks Will, that workaround of joining all the paths got it to import with the proper geometry. I was hoping it was user error instead of a bug, but that's life. Also thanks for the JSCut suggestions - I'll give it a try. I've also downloaded Fusion 360 and am slowly learning its interface. So many...

Makercam Y-axis oddities

Hello, I'm still trying to figure out my workflow. I created an SVG with Inkscape, then tried to load it into makercam. I figured out the pixels/inch adjustment, but I'm still having a problem: my y-axis values are wrong. Everything is supposed to be symmetrical, but it goes wonky. Concentric circle...

Individual setups documented on the wiki

I like that we have build logs in the forum - it gives people a chance to have a discussion about their individual builds and get advice if they're stuck. I think it could be helpful to have some of that on individual wiki pages, too. For example, I could add a page for my Shapeoko 2 #7266 which sho...

Re: What do I do with all these wires?

I added a drag chain when I ordered mine, and was able to do it with just one length. You can break it into two sections pretty easily. I uploaded pics to the wiki, but they're kind of huge, so I haven't linked them anywhere in the wiki yet (help, Will?). Here they are: gantry 1 , gantry 2 , y-axis ...
