GRBL shield Z-axis mod question

I have an inventables batch one Shapeoko - mech kit only so I sourced all of the electronics. At the time that I bought the GRBL shield I didn't know to ask for the z-axis mod so did not have that done before they shipped it off to me. Not wanting to worry about that at the outset I got my mech kit ...

Re: GRBL + Arduino uno clone

Good idea jsbannis I was actually using a multimeter last night to try to test my electronics when my 3 year old "assistant" wanted to see it and promptly dropped it on the garage floor. Bad news there, but good news is now I will be able to buy one with a continuity tester and check that out before...

Re: Intermittent Z-axis plunges during long jobs

I can not offer an answer to the z-axis problems as I am just now getting my Shapoko up and running but I just wanted to complement nfortosis on what looks like a very cool project. Ideas like that are a big reason I am dipping my toe into the CNC universe and it is cool to see actual projects (z ax...

Re: Power Supply

I have one more question pertaining to the power supply. In the construction of an enclosure for my electronics I have come across a cooling fan similar to the one shown here to foster some air movement. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PQ0KDY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 My question is can the po...
