Advice would be greatly appreciated!

I realize this may not be the most suitable forum to place this inquiry, however I really want to get in touch with as many woodworkers as possible. Hi every body: I could use some help or advice please! My Delta Midi Lathe which I don't even use every day, quit on me after about 4 years. I usually ...

Re: Help with Shapeoko3 and Lightburn software!

I don't use Lightburn, but I checked their support documentation. It looks like using Lightburn requires you to change the Shapeoko's origin position. Lost with STL files!

Hi all! Finally after a few years of owning a shapeoko3 and cutting some simple stuff, I finally would like to get into the 3D carvings. I tried the Vectric free file samples and it works quite fine and I really enjoyed the work. Now I have ordered some files online and I got the jpeg and a STL fil...

Re: Depth passes not corect!

Hi Will Yes, this did happen. The machine bottomed out against the top and made an awful noise. I would like to know -if I start the job over again and go to the zero setting on top of my work piece will the machine reset by itself? If it doesn't reset automatically then how would I go about correct...

Re: Trouble with depth and size!

Do you have an older machine (launch edition) which has DIP switches for micro-stepping? If so, check if they are set to 4x --- if they are, power down and change them to 8x. Please see: http://docs.carbide3d.com/shapeoko-faq/how-to-calibrate-the-machine-for-belt-stretch/ Hi Will Thanks for your re...
