Re: Shapeoko #298 build log

Alright upgraded bed size plus inserted "captive nuts" into a big piece of mdf for a hold down bed. - still evaluating but it looks pretty good. Screen shot 2013-07-29 at 11.26.25 AM.png I used the shapeoko to map out the hole pattern then drilled out holes on bench press, the captive nuts (mcmaster...

Re: I want to open up a stepper motor but its glued?

Re: I want to open up a stepper motor but its glued?

If you can afford the price point check out the makergear m2. I recently saw it in action and was impressed.

Re: New slide/structure idea from OpenBuilds: V-Slot

thanks - its a prusa i3. Its working well. I am just starting to appreciate having both additive and subtractive machines at my disposal, it could take a couple of decades to figure out what this means :)

I want to open up a stepper motor but its glued?

I want to do this for educational purposes. There are four bolts that I removed but it seems like the body is epoxied together? I think I will put it in a bench vise and just pry at a corner with something then. I submit that strategy to the group for consideration? yes will post pics when successfu...

Re: Broke a Belt (It was bound to happen)

When you released "Is this a shapeoko" I was totally wondering about this! It actually did pretty well and lasted for awhile though!

Re: New slide/structure idea from OpenBuilds: V-Slot

I thought I saw some opinions on the forum a while ago that seemed to have some concerns? But I actually bought into their kickstarter for the 20/20 stuff and I feel like I already love it for non critical projects! Sorry this doesnt answer your question but I am happy to share I am having a little ...

Re: I'm Having Trouble with GRBL and Windows

Brian fwiw I took that exact same road about a year ago for about 15 min or so. I feel like I found the "windows build" page before the "grbl page" below. Maybe there should be something in italics at the top "also please visit http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Grbl". I can login and do that if...
