Thanks for the link.

I've gone with a factory "refresh." We'll see what happens.

Re: Apple users?

For the DLL error, please see: http://docs.carbide3d.com/software-faq/missing-msvcp120-dll/ Tried this so many times I almost set my laptop on fire. Literally. For the Mac side of the house, mostly it "just works" (I think there've been one or two obscure models which haven't worked, but thos...

Apple users?

Hey guys- I've just about bounced my windows based laptop off the shop floor 3 or 4 times in the last day with frustration. Updated to Windows 10 and it's been an absolute nightmare. Can't get Create or Motion to work. I get a MSVCP120.dll error, when I install this file into the appropriate directo...

Xloader freezing while uploading..

OK, so I just downloaded the newest Carbide Motion and after running it, it's telling me anything older than Grbl 1.1 isn't supported, so I downloaded the Grbl 1.1 hex and XLoader. I'm trying to install 1.1 via XLoader but it keeps freezing during the upload. It'll tell me it's uploading, I can hear...

Re: New tablet or laptop for milling ?

This is something I just started thinking about. I had an old Dell Inspiron I was going to use, but it's Windows XP, so I'm dead in the water with that. I don't want to keep dragging my "good" laptop out into the shop. I am thinking about a small Windows 10 laptop but don't want to sink a ton of mon...

Re: Making an SO3 start in the same spot, every time..

Homing switches are the preferred way to do this: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Home/Limit_Switches The way to work-around it: http://docs.carbide3d.com/article/39-how-to-home-the-machine-in-the-absence-of-limit-home-switches Excellent. Some homing switches are what I need. I'll look into ...

Making an SO3 start in the same spot, every time..

Ok, so I'm still newbing my way through the SO3.. Unfortunately, the last 6 months my SO3 has been and still is, in storage since selling our house, but I'm still trying to learn, in the absence of my machine. One issue that I am struggling with, and I have no doubt it is operator error, is adjustin...
