Re: Chilipeppr Auto-level Problem !??
So... today I tried to run the file you sent me. The first thing I noticed when I opened it was that your lines are way too long. I decided to air-run your program as it was to see if that was the problem and, as I suspected, while it was running the error Line Overflow showed up in the serial port ...

Re: Chilipeppr Auto-level Problem !??
Ill give it a try tomorrow after work and see if I get the same results as you and report back. Chillipeppr is kind of difficult to work with at first but after a while it's a great tool. I use it for every job and haven't had any problems. Just to be sure... You are in the grbl workspace of chilipe...

Re: Chilipeppr Auto-level Problem !??
I had some problems at first when I was trying to auto level. The program would run just fine at first but then it would kind of pause after each point and that pause getting bigger after some more probing points. The other problem I had was that the program "randomly" stopped working. No motion wha...

Re: 3D CAM Tool Poll
Using Cambam trial and Makercam now, about to try out NX 9's CAM software. Anybody used that? NX10 is out, and it's good, though NX is way too expensive for anyone on a Shapeoko budget to actually buy. Some people have access to high end software through their work :), without access to the actual ...

iPhone engraving!
Hi all! Wanted to see what you think about a risky project I did a couple of days ago. It's my iPhone 6 Plus engraved! :S I made the gcode with the engraving feature of F-Engrave and I loved the results. The bit missed some parts at the bottom which indicates the poor alignment of my S3 (working on ...

My first time milling a PCB
Hi, just wanted to show you a video where I mill my first PCB. This has been a a great experience and learned a few things in the way. I used chilipeppr to do the auto leveling and while I was able to use the feature, had some problems at first. The First thing is that the board was more deflected t...

Re: cut up some steel today.
That is awesome! Great job! I just cut some aluminum and was a PITA, im guessing the bit was not meant for metal, i cut at 10 ipm and was struggling ): When cutting i noticed that the z plate had some deflection mostly when moving in +/- Y direction of course. Did you do something to your plate (as ...

Re: New SO3 Table
Mine is one piece. There is no reason to make it two pieces. You just slide it in from the side. Maybe I didnt explain my self that good, my bad. I will be machining the bed from a single piece. I was just wondering about the gap it has (as little as it may be) when assembling the two mdf pieces. A...

Re: jig for soldering cannon plugs on to a board
Looks great!
Will you be making a lot of those assemblies? I know it can be a real PITA trying to solder something without the proper jig.
cheers!
