Re: filament extruder and PLA pellets available

I pledged for one Filastruder.
Interesting to see the range of pellets and colorants to be available in their shop.
Found some polycarbonate pellets, as they say that it is possible to extrude beyond 300°C (and probably really more).

Re: Precision Nozzle

Bob, Yes, a Presto Multicooker! and the guy is looking for matte finish, using sanding with compressed air. I pledge on this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1809448130/3d-refiner-by-3dprintsexpresscom WARNING: For those who would like to play with heating and spraying Acetone, BE VERY CAREFUL, ...

Re: Precision Nozzle

I successfully extruded some 1.75mm ABS with the custom 0.30 nozzle, mount on a makergear heatcore. The extruded spaghetti is 0.35mm, comparing with 0.41mm when using a 0.35 nozzle. Now, am gonna print the same part with 0.35/0.30 nozzles to see the detail enhancement. With slic3r 0.99 released toda...

Re: Precision Nozzle

Here 4 nozzles I machined: 0.35mm, 0317mm, 030mm and 0.28mm Threaded for M6 Nozzles-H12-M6-4sizes.jpg Now, I can screw then on my printer hotend, do they extrude well? Will see. Then, am gonna to print the same object, with adequate features, to see which nozzle diameter is interesting to have, belo...

Re: Precision Nozzle

Using an industrial lathe and a professional threading tool in a makerspace. And I managed to drill with small bit. At this stage, there is nothing very new, though. Actually, the project is to build nozzle, hot-end up to a full extruder, including dualstrusion reaching 300°C. I did a mistake in siz...

Precision Nozzle

I gave a try making my own nozzle, discovering the *pleasures* of precision machining. Here is my first prototype. I experienced the many hurdles to jump, and understand a little better how to craft a precision nozzle. So, I start from this first cut, trying to design different nozzle sizes and othe...

Why bother? You need a custom shaped PCB?

Re: Makerslide position encoders?

... What I ended deciding would be the best option was to attach one of these encoders to the back of the shaft. ... Also, I'm not sure how fine the accuracy would be with only 200 pulses per rev of resolution on the encoder. Resolution is not enough, at least 10 times more. How do you process the ...

Very interesting, baz!
Simple: Am on both sides of the Ocean, so, I can choose the best scheme as far as shipping charges are concerned.
Please, keep me informed about this idea, interested in placing an order of some meters.
