Re: UGS & tool changes

... where the M5 tool changes are. Is that a typo? Your example has M6 in it. Asking, because I don't know G-code yet so am not sure. ;) The M6 was a typo error and should of been M5 Fixed the error EDIT Well I just looked again at the gcode and Meshcam is throwing "M6" instead of "M5" in the gcode...

Re: UGS & tool changes

I ran into this same problem using meshcam. I go into and edit the g code and add "X0, Y0" and M0 where the M5 tool changes are. I picked up a 2' X 4' sheet of High De...

Re: Scratch Build of 2 ShapeOko's

Its been too long since I've messed with the ShapeOko's, but my other hobbies and life has gotten in the way. When I was last working on #2, I had a problem with the UGS program in that when I launched it, it never come up. I don't know what I did, but I did have UGS working and jogging all axis til...

Re: Help squaring shapeoko

Scott
Thanks for the comment on my builds.
I kind of thought it would be something like the ends not being square. It is great that you know someone that will do the work to get them squared up.

Re: Help squaring shapeoko

Scott,
I too had problems getting my X squared and I finally took it off and made sure the end was square like this (side) and (I can't find the other pic) the top. Once bolted back together, it has stayed square.

Re: Scratch Build of 2 ShapeOko's

I'm still working on wiring the limit switches and I added some extenders to the 8825's so I could mount heatsinks to the underside for cooling. I still need to draw up a case for the Uno/shield and get it printed. I'll have a fan on it for active cooling. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90...

Re: OrdBot users, what's your overall opinion?

I use .9 degree (400 step) nema 17's on the X and Y and use the 1.8 degree (200 step) on the Z. With these motors, I use 8825 drivers and I get everything I print to within 10 microns using GT2 belts. I use 10mm 2 pitch acme for the Z. All the firmware for 3D printing is metric and you don't end up ...

Re: OrdBot users, what's your overall opinion?

Also, what's the max size you'd recommend with the stock design? The table on the X gets a little wobbly if you try to go any wider. You could extend it in length and it should stay stable. I use open rail on 20 X 80 for the Y on my 300's with additional bracing for the Z. For the carriage, I use t...
