I can't wait to see the Kickstarter- fingers crossed that it's this week (being the first of April starting Wednesday :mrgreen: :mrgreen:) It's also hilarious that you mentioned Kickstarter still has an approval process for new campaigns. With all the free energy garbage and just plain scam projects...

I'm a rookie to the CNC area, but if this was a 3D print, it'd be an issue with your Z axis. Those bands are periodic, and I'd bet that they're the same pitch as your Z axis, right? It looks like a rounding error on your steps to mm conversion or an out-of-square Z axis; what's happening in this sce...
