Re: 300 watt DC ER11 spindle.

1. I don't have any other er11 collets to try with. The construction at first looked to be of the same type as my 2.2kw er20 spindle. A simple clamping nut and a collet inside. However i was not able to push out the current collet out of the nut :? I only use it with 1/8" shank tools. 2. Well, It's ...

Re: 300 watt DC ER11 spindle.

I just used the standard mounts that came with shapeoko to press the spindle in place. But i will create an adapter plate to mount it directly on makerslide, easy to fix. Mount that came with spindle has 4 screws -> adapter plate, 4 screws -> makerslide I bought 24V 15A 350W power supply on ebay. It...

Re: 300 watt DC ER11 spindle.

I have it and it works great so far with milling pcb and mdf wood. Much better than the dremel i used before. No problems with run out, i get very good traces on pcb.

Re: My shapeoko 3d printer

I don't think vibration and resonance will be a problem from my experience with the machine so far. Not sure, but i will give it a try. I am currently doing some upgrades that will make it more stable. I will have two timing belts for y-axis, one on each side. But only one motor so there will be a s...

Re: My shapeoko 3d printer

I have not tried to make the printrboard mill yet for the reason in atomsofts link and i have a grblShield with 2.5A drivers (printrboard is 2A) But replacing the software on the printrboard takes 30sec so switching between grbl and marlin that way is not too painfull. And i will change my shapeoko ...

Re: My shapeoko 3d printer

I am new to 3d printing so this is not necessarily the best stuff. Printrboard Electronics Rev C - http://www.makerfarm.com/catalog/i12.html - Compact, very easy to use but has only support for 1 extruder. I will probably buy some other electronics like ramps in the future because of this. There is ...
