Re: Exporting .dxf from Solidworks 2012 to CamBam
I was trying to export .stl files from Solidworks into PyCam but never had a sniff of success.
It always came up as a binary/ASCII error and an invalid file certificate so decided to try out Cambam but wanted to get some insight first while I still had the 40 tryouts.

Exporting .dxf from Solidworks 2012 to CamBam
Just wanting to know if anyone has had any luck with exporting .dxf or .stl files from Solidworks into CamBam.
I'm trying to get a word of two from the community on any successes before I spend $150 on CamBam.
I would rather not switch to AutoCad but will if I have to.

Re: ShapeOko Bit selection from Inventables
I hope those prices are for packages of 20 endmills per package!
Seems awfully pricey for just 1 endmill.

Re: Checking in from Canada
Happy Canada Day! I found an enclosure at Abra Electronics. They are based out of Montreal and I had quick delivery with no hassles. The enclosure is plastic but it fits the power supply, arduino and Grbl shield nicely. http://www.abra-electronics.com/products/Instrument-Cases.html I went with the G...

Re: My Z axis motor is funky...
I had a similar problem with my Z-axis. At the start of a command it would spin momentarily and spin again near the end but in between it would lock up and make a terrible whining sound. I disassembled the Z-axis and assembled it again. No improvement. Then I tried connecting the Z-axis output from ...
