Shapeoko 3 earrings

Took a crack at making my wife some earrings for Christmas. Nothing fancy but it shows how precise the Shapeoko 3 is. The cross is olive wood and the surrounding is the end grain of black palm. I hand shaped the outside to make it look a little rustic.

They are 1/8" thick.

I agree about the cork but he is just going to put three cork disks on the back of each one.

The ones I made for myself are out of old Ikea counter top ripped to 3/8" thick and I put magnets in three of the gears to make them stack up for storage.

I made some out of wood for myself and was asked to make some out of aluminum for a buddy. Not exactly the best material to insulate a table from a hot cup or cold glass but they are cool. I would like to hear more!

Can files be imported into the BETA test program? If you have a complex file does it work much better then the web options?

How are the drawing tools to work with? Are they as user friendly as advertised?

Using a different laptop seems to have fixed my issue. I am not sure why the USB port seem to work OK but if i used a mouse and a thumb drive at the same time the mouse will skip a little around and not always hold the connection. I tested crossing the cables for the power to the router with the USB...
