OK- that makes sense. Is it does lift .5 above the stock and zero is right on the surface.

Will- Would the suggestions you gave such as skipping a tooth, insufficient motor torque, etc. result is a shallow cut? My problem is the cut is too deep. depth of cut is not correct

I set my TARGET DEPTH to -.10 and STEP DOWN rate at .05 Shapeoko 3 makes 2 passes. The total cut depth is .1875 What am I doing wrong???? The first cut is very deep (about .15) and the second cut is very shallow (about .05) Also - what is ROUGHING CLEARANCE ???

It is F-engrave 150 which seemed to be the current one on their site. I do not know how to configure it for GRBL. When I look in "Settings" I do see that it has M5 M9 M2 as the Gcode Postscript

Will - I meant F-Engrave. I set up a test piece. When I save it to the desktop, it has a file extension of .cng. I opened it with WordPad and it appears to be Gcode. WillAdams- I am trying F-engrave or F-vcarve as you suggested. I imported my file into it by opening it in Microsoft Paint then saving it as a Bitmap file. It worked. I'll give that a try. The file you sent back to me, the "o" was corrected but now the top part of the "B" is corrupt. I'll give this a try when I return home next week. Thank you so much for your time and help.
