Re: Bangalore's Build

Added a dragknife. Here's a photo of stages in development...left to right. STL? :) Took a while. Sorry, I wasn't very good with Fusion at the time I made this and didn't know exactly how to create an STL. A little handwork is required, but if you can make the parts, you can do the rest most likely...

Re: Rigid Heddle Loom

Wonderful! You really need to post the files for this — making weaving more accessible is a thing which would help to make the world a better place. Here's a link to the A360 file. http://a360.co/1UE87jL You should be able to duplicate most of what I did using this. At the least, it should give you...

Rigid Heddle Loom

My wife discovered weaving at our local library's makerspace. She loved it so much that I decided to make her her own loom. It's solid mahogany from a single board I've had in the basement for years. The heddle reeds are 3d printed, and the gears, heddle brackets, locks, and knobs are all cut on my ...

Re: Tortilla Press

I do everything in Fusion 360. It's a great solution for CAD and CAM, and the price can't be beat. No, I don't work for Autodesk; I'm just a fan of this product. I've attached an STEP file, which I think is fairly accessible for most people. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20280875/Shapeoko%20Fo...

Tortilla Press

Love making homemade tortillas. I figured it was time to stop using a pie pan to press them out. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20280875/Shapeoko%20Forums/TortillaPress_002.jpg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20280875/Shapeoko%20Forums/TortillaPress_001.jpg I had some pecan drying in the ba...

Re: Christmas Ornament

We've been doing it since 1999. At some point, I figure we'll only have these ornaments.

Christmas Ornament

Every year, we take a slice off of the bottom of our tree and make an ornament out of it. We pick a passage of scripture that we feel like characterizes the previous year best and carve it into the slice. Every Christmas morning, we take down all the ornaments and read them together, talking about h...

Toolbox for my son

This toolbox is mostly handmade, but I did use my Shapeoko for some of the elements involved, the etching on the leather handle and the tool inserts, specifically. This is a project I have been working on with my son a little every weekend for a few months. We are working on it for a "friend I work ...
