Re: S3 stops mid-job
Curious for those who are still getting disconnects with the cap, are you running a laptop or PC, and if a laptop do you still get the disconnects with the laptop running from battery? I am getting disconnects with the capacitor, running a PC, while turning off the router. Try switching the router ...

Re: S3 stops mid-job
I have also added a 1000 uF 50 volt capacitor to my V2.1 board. Although it may have helped, I am still getting disconnects when I shut off my router Dewalt DW611. It happens about 10% of the time. My next step will be to add a grounded cord on the router.

Re: Expansion packs announced
Those drag chains can get expensive quick and two per kit adds some money. Since neither of the expansion sizes they determined will work for me I guess I'm still waiting to see if the extrusion is ever going to be available on its own or if the S3 gets sold off for something else. :( If I were the...

Re: Shapeoko 3 - Expansion Packs
So is there a chance for a shapeoko xxxl (4'x4' or larger) in the future or are these going to be the only expansion options? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sounds like larger units will come later: "One thing that we want to make clear is that our machine was designed to be expanded to this si...

Re: Shapeoko 3 - Expansion Packs
FWIW, I find the nomenclature a bit confusing at the moment and suspect the Y-axis value for the XL is wrong, and wish that it were easier to tell which axis was upgraded how much (or maybe I'm mis-remembering what was suggested previously as being better than it was). Why does it appear to be wron...

Re: V Wheel Woes
I apologize for my previous post. I said that the V Wheels from Inventables are narrower than the Shapeoko 3; however, after measuring both, they are the same. My eyesight is not as good as it used to be. When I installed the V Wheels from Inventables, they appeared to me to be narrower.

Re: V Wheel Woes
I had the two bottom V Wheels break on the X-Axis. It was the second run on cutting 1/2" plywood. The first run worked fine; however, using the same file on the second piece of plywood, the Z-Axis dropped much more than it was supposed to, damaged the plywood, and broke the V-wheels. I am not sure w...

Shapeoko 3 Ignoring my Limit Switches
I have installed limit switches on my Shapeoko 3. When jogging, the machine will run right through the limit switches. Isn't it supposed to stop when it hits any of the switches? Is there something that I need to do to activate the switches? The switches appear to be working since the voltage measur...
