Re: AutoDesk Inventor supposed to be easy?

Relatively speaking...Inventor is one of the easier pieces of modeling software to use. Absolutely speaking...it's still quite difficult. Autodesk has some great tutorials available inside Inventor and online. I highly recommend running through them; it's how I taught myself the software 10 years ag...

Re: Recommended Ferrite Ring for SO3 Routers

Having the same issue. It appears to lose connection about 1/3 of the time when I power down the router. Router is on another circuit - didn't help. Ordered a new USB cable with ferrite beads at either end - didn't help. Ordered 15x 7mm ferrite beads for the router power cord - didn't help. Added re...

Re: G28 and G28.1 help needed (Carbide Motion, S3)

That should just rapid back to my zero location (which in most situations is the corner of my workpiece). I need a way that I can set a zero on my workpiece, and have a secondary location to return to for tool changes. The g28 command works in universal gcode sender...but I don't have any way to pau...

Re: Ferrite beads/rings - No love

And you're having the same issue?

Is your control board mounted in the stock location? Could it just be the proximity from the router to controller?

G28 and G28.1 help needed (Carbide Motion, S3)

I'm trying to use G28 and G28.1 manually into the GCode that HSMExpress is creating. Trying to use G28 to bring the machine forward to overhang the workspace to allow for easier tool changes. I can get the two commands working in MDI without issue, but have not had any luck adding them into my HSMEx...

Re: Ferrite beads/rings - No love

I'm having the same issue; it's intermittent but once on router startup, and a handful of times on router shutdown I've lost connection. Very interested in any solution that's found! Do you both have the 'power brick' style supplies...or the older style supplies? Could the brick style supplies they ...

Re: Fusion 360 post processing

I have now had success using the 'Tinyg' post processor as well.

It converts the canned drill cycles to G01 commands and hasn't thrown any errors on the milling processes.

Re: Fusion 360 post processing

That screen is actually from HSM Express (they use the same post screen :D ). Using the Mach3mill post processor works great for milling but uses 'canned cycles' (G81 for peck drilling etc) which aren't compatible with Grbl and throws an error. If you use the grbl post processor it converts the dril...
