Re: Configure CamBam to return to job origin at end of job?

I had a play with creating a CamBam post processor for ShapeOko (ShapeOko.cbpp) and this seems to do what I want in terms of returning to 0,0,0 at the end of the job. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <PostProcessor xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3....

Configure CamBam to return to job origin at end of job?

Does anybody know how I can configure the CamBam end of job sequence to that it does not output and the normal end-of-job codes and issue a G0 X0,Y0 to get back to the job start point? So far I edit the Gcode file by hand to do this but every time I make a small adjustment in the design and regenera...

How to align a part?

I am slowly getting some more experience with my ShapeOko. So far I mainly used it to machine some holes in plastic jiffy boxes for some electronics projects. The one thing I am struggling with though is the initial alignment of the bit to the part and I wonder what people do do this accurately and ...

Re: Craft Foam Brushes for Dust Shoe

How about leaving a strip attached so the cuts are only slots and the fingers don't come loose.

Then after the machining trim of the edge off with a knife or scissors to free the fingers?

Re: MXL Belt Order

Hi Hugh,

How do you propose the ordering and payments go? Just via email? I am still in for 10m in Australia, so $20.50 right?

Re: MXL Belt Order

It really comes down to what sort of shipping you would offer to e.g. Australia for me. I would be happy to take 10m at that price if it could be cheaply posted to Australia.

Australian supplier of some MakerSlide parts

I just found http://australianrobotics.com.au/catalog/mechanical-components/makerslide is stocking a number of MakerSlide parts (just not the MakerSlide itself :-( ). Comparing them to Inventables (for a kit of a Nema17, 2 idlers, a pulley and a 1m timing belt) shows not much difference compared to ...

I like it how it gives you the ability to slide in larger stock underneath the end plates.

Re: At a total loss, really thought this was gonna be easier

Generally when I am faced with something which appears like a total failure/malfunction, the principle of divide and conquer has helped me. In other words, reduce the number of variables that you are dealing with and tackle them one by one and in isolation. I would suggest, you use an oscilloscope (...

Re: Misumi - Australian Orders Reply

Here is a discussion on various aluminium profiles available in Australia that might be of help. http://www.woodworkforums.com/archive/index.php/t-112585.html Off these I noticed MayTec http://www.maytec.com.au/products having 3 variations of a 20x40 profile available that might be possible to use i...
