Re: Carbide Create Auto Feeds And Speeds
Thanks for reply. Although Im not against closed source stuff, the price point is to high for me at this time. Going to figure it out the old fashion way with multiple iterations. The link pointed to some calculators going to try those and take it from there.

Carbide Create Auto Feeds And Speeds
Ive been messing around with carbide create and like the feature of setting feeds and speeds automatically which comes from material selected in startup settings. Soft wood for example tells me to run at 15000rpm, 60ipm feed, 30ipm plunge. I have a router with variable speed control not a spindle so...

Re: Homing Questions
Thanks for the responses. I'm trying to get the hang of these best practice gcodes in an actual file So I get issuing WCS through CM, but I can't even get it to go to the WCS in a gcode file. I made a simple file named test.nc, which is attached, to go to (1) of the WCS that I stored (G56). Its basi...

Re: Homing Questions
Tim, Thanks for response. G10 did not move the machine. I meant to say after I stored coordinates into G54 using G10, I issued G54 to go to WCS. However, it did not work because somehow the negative value I assigned to x, y, z was converted to a positive number. So for example, after homing my absol...

Homing Questions
Just installed some limit switches and have a few questions, I've read through alot of the wiki and different posts as well as github grbl config pages 1. After initiating $H, the router travels to back right corner as it should; however the coordinates read the pull off values (-5mm by default on x...

Re: Shapeoko KB Site
Referring to http://docs.carbide3d.com/article/39-how-to-home-the-machine-in-the-absence-of-limit-home-switches The following line of code would have to be added to each program? enter a G92 command suited to the desired relationship between the spindle position and the stock material: G92 X0 Y0 Z0 ...

Feedrate Override - SO3
Is there a way to incorporate a dial on a teach pendant to override the programmed feedrate. This is common in industrial CNCs for ensuring no interference between work tool and part and/or fixture and to verify program accuracy to some extent.

Re: Waste Board Dimensions
I am new to the board, I wanted to get the misumi extrusions but the spacing for the tslots will only work on the side with slots for M6 squarenuts which would require me to remove the PEM nuts and drill larger size hole (wasteboard is secured to frame with M5 bolts). Regardless I wouldve also had t...
