@nio
Have you tried sending Edward an email through the user control panel | private messages tab,
possibly he's busy and is not getting info on the various forum's new posts ...

Re: 180W DC Spindle

@Edward Did that 180 watt spindle come with any collets? the picture {on Ebay ... its re listed BTW} shows one partially disassembled but does not show the bearings, you probably wont take it apart, but if you do can we get some pictures? The same seller has a 300 watt unit, with a mount and a 3.175...

@ goopyplastic:
Great Progress, I Like It!
I will probably have dedicated controllers for each CNC machine i'm working on (Shapeoko & Barts Hadron OrdBot).
But I really like the breakout ... makes it so organized!

Are you going to offer the boards at a "store" ?

Re: Z axis problem

@ Flare09 » Sounds like the direction pin could be shorted (or is open and somehow pulled up), check the Z-axis connector on the board for a short or cold solder joint, also check the trace back to the chip if possible. Not related to the Z-axis problem, but to an X, Y, or Z Axis Reversal: I had pro...

Re: In the news!

Thanks @dointhangs » I "google'd" for the key words "Photo to CAD", and it returned lots of CNC related hits for Raster to Vector A search for "Raster to Vector" on the ShapeOko site had one hit ... BobCad related. :D Good thing I got in on Al's BobCad/Cam V24 Free seat offer. If i can keep my compu...

Re: In the news!

I looked at the Forbes article, a nice (but short) write up. Is there any video of the presentation that Zach made at Compute Midwest? also (from that Forbes write up): But now, with a free app for your phone, you can take a bunch of photographs of an object and the app will give CAD specifications....

Hi @ejs
Will version 4 of the board have limit/home switch capability? Anything else it will support?

Thanks
Rich

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

@zenwebb » Wed Oct 31, 2012 12:17 pm I don't believe the Buildlog motor shields directly support limit switches. I have a Rev2 of that shield and I know the Rev2 version does not! However it would be easy to put a "Prototype" shield under the BuildLog shield and wire the limit switches and other stu...

Re: Printing in G-code

@morrows_end » At a minimum you will need a 4th stepper motor controller, this is to control the stepper on the extruder that feeds the plastic filament to the "Hot End". You could buy a Pololu and do some kind of breadboard, but it would be easier to get a controller designed for 3D printing. Check...

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

@Bilbo »
Wow, I knew there were all sorts of fees and taxes involved with shipping to the UK & EU destinations,
just didn't know they could become that large!

Now the Makerslide Europe effort starts to make more sense.
VAT & Customs Fees, things we usually don't see here in the USA.
