Re: Stiffness of the spindle carriage plate
I am going to try the t-track method but I also had lofty ideas of milling my own 3/8" aluminum plate for it.

Re: Any Canucks have any experience with this Mastercraft ro
Won't that be a HUGE motor? I have a similar one, the non digital one (just the display is digital btw) and it's a regular sized router.

Re: 3020T CNC Arduino/GRBL Conversion
I mean the DRV chip upgrade to 2.5 but also if a chip blows, it's easy to swap out.Hans wrote:You call the driver chips upgradeable, but aren't you limited to 2.0 A no matter what with that board? With grblShield/TinyG you can do 2.5 A though you can't upgrade that either.

Re: 3020T CNC Arduino/GRBL Conversion
Heh Heh Heh, that's pretty cool. Looks like you're on a good trajectory with your CNC learning. Have you looked at TinyG yet (the 6-axis fork of GRBL)? :) Thanks. I have looked at the TinyG but it's nearly 3x the price of a CNC shield and 3 more axis I don't need. I also really like the idea of upg...

3020T CNC Arduino/GRBL Conversion
Hey guys. I just finished up my instructable on how to convert one of those inexpensive 3020T CNC machines direct from China into an Arduino/GRBL interface (instead of the old parallel port driver board). Probably not news to you guys, but it was the collective knowledge of these forums and a whole ...

Re: Shapeoko 3 Limit Switch Kits
There will be more soon. Just need to print some more parts, wire up some more switches and bag up some more hardware. I have to work around all the other things making claims on my time, like family, sleep, etc. :) I'll be waiting with baited breath! I just have to figure out how to use them after...

Re: Slingshot Scales
What laser set up are you using? I like the little details! Thats cthulhu right? Whoa! You know? Haha It's actually the Hydra. The laser is a Chinese as-2 2000 mW unit. It's a bit tricky to get going but it is GRBL compatible. I have only used the supplied software but I am sure I could use UGS to ...
