Re: Simple CAM help?

Thank you for the tip. This is how my cad software does it. I tried inkscape combine and it worked better under makercam. Anyway something is strange. I calculated everything to have a minimum gap larger than 0.8mm (The tool I plan to use is 0.8mm), but makercam can't do it. Even with a 0.3mm tool t...

Tool: Ø0.8mm straight (0.0315) (No margin on the O, I know!)+ Shapeoko running ok at normal speeds. I just need to a quick stamp o...

Re: Shapeoko in Portugal

Misumi ships all over Europe to people with an account. To have an account I have always been asked for a company number. I am a pure hobbyist... Edit: As for Misumi I had a communication with them from August 2013 (Am I slow?), and back then the VAT number was mandatory. Did it changed? As for the ...

Re: Shapeoko in Portugal

Good post. I have been living in so many countries including US and southern european countries. It is hard to know where to get the stuff at the right price/voltage/no custom/low shipping or local pickup... I cannot find a way to get misumi extrusion here and I hate that! In france I get thin metal...

Re: Kress 1050

Well their bracket is not very interesting to tighten it to a MakerSlide. I bought it and then got another one machined. As I am still not satisfied I need to design a new one.
The collets are complicated to remove from the nut, which makes it way easier to keep them together.

Re: Cant send a file.

Yes I am using GRBL from the kit - loaded into an arduino. Do you want me to do further test? On my side I just discarded 1.06. 1.07 prereleased but also 1.05 and earlier are both working OK...

Re: Help me tweak my shapeoko!

Yes I have double Y with half the torque steppers (same manufacturers). I will change X tensionning and holding mechanism (either with aluminum L or Wood carved with shapeoko). I except a huge improvment just with that, it is currently pretty bad. I will add a big fan around the electronic. I will m...
