Re: Carbide WCS and homing issue

That SWAG sounds fairly accurate to me. Is there any way that the next version of CM will account for this issue? I have yet to be successful running either bCNC, GRBL-Panel, or UGS. Any other advice in using WCS or setting up any of these other senders would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Carbide WCS and homing issue

is there any chance we'll get a version of CM that has the bugs worked out? So far it is the only program I have been using, and it worked fine with out limit switches, aside from some connection issues. Why is there so much difficulty using limit switches with CM? running $h seems super easy, and i...

Re: Carbide WCS and homing issue

So how exactly does one go about getting bCNC or Grbl-Panel? i found them on GitHub, but I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to down load there. I just put limit switches on my machine, I run the homing cycle, it homes to the corner I want, i set the zeros at the spot it homes, and then MDI type G0...

Re: Losing Connection in Middle of Project

I'm running Win7. I tried a USB isolator, didn't fix it. I suppose next is an isolation transformer to separate it from the grid a little.

Re: Losing Connection in Middle of Project

umkfr, Thanks for the tip. The UPS I tried has a similar system built into it, a line regulator that keeps power with in 8% of the set target. When still plunged into the wall I was getting connection interrupts as per usual. I believe the spikes are to fast for the unit to react. However, to no rea...

Re: Losing Connection in Middle of Project

Cvoinescu, how did you go about "galvanically isolate the machine end of the USB cable"? Did you use a little device like this? http://www.cooldrives.com/index.php/usb-iso-5k-adum4160-protection.html?fee=1&fep=2041&utm_source=merchantcntr2014&gclid=CjwKEAjwyqOwBRDZuIO4p5SV8w0SJAAQoUSwJvq-7ITZ7ce5l2S...

Re: Losing Connection in Middle of Project

Does any one know anything about isolation transformers? http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Isolation-Transformer-Outlet/dp/B00006HPFH/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1443488850&sr=8-2&keywords=isolation+transformer Will that keep the connectivity issue from happening? Could this be a symptom of the hobby leve...

Re: Do I need limit switches?

I'm ordering limit switches today. When they get here I imagine the next step will be figuring out this "homing cycle". Does anyone have code for this they are willing to share? Is it just a G-Code script you run or something more in the background?

Thanks,

Mike
