Re: Need a second SO3 but waiting to see what's new for 2017

Thanks, Will. Yes, we sent an email about this but no reply yet. Suggestions: > An SO3 Upgrade Kit (I did get a response back on this... "Really Great Idea.") > Ability to run two machines from one computer. > Bullet-proof way to zero the Z axis (such as the Shopbot) > T-Tracks in wasteboard for bot...

Need a second SO3 but waiting to see what's new for 2017...

We are waiting to see what new upgrades for 2017 are in the works.
Does anyone know what might be new for 2017 for the SO3?

Re: Dangers of being impatient...

Can you expand on your "longer and better USB cord?"

What problems went away?

Re: FS: Shapeoko 3 Limit Switch Kits - V2.0

Will we be able to "HOME" the machine after installing your kit? Are instructions provided on how to set that up?
Thanks.

Re: GRBL Error: Cannot open port for Nomad

Same problem here. New machine.
Watching for solutions. Pretty much dead in the water.

Man that USB cable is sensitive. I lost connection by simply turning a small shop fan OFF.

Re: By-The-Inch Pricing of Jobs...

Ok and thanks, again.

It can be difficult to find the right "PRICE POINT" of the people in my area.
Talk about a 3rd World Economy, it better be marked down AND on sale before they will purchase your work.

Re: By-The-Inch Pricing of Jobs...

Ok and thanks

If anyone out there is charging for their CNC work, do you have recommendations on PRICE?
By the project - by the hour - by the inch?

Thanks.

By-The-Inch Pricing of Jobs...

It would be cool to total the head travel by inches/job so we can price our work by the inch.

For example:
> 12-inch total for Job A: $1.00/inch = $12.00 for the CNC cutting.
> 6-foot total for Job B: $1.00/inch = $72.00 for the CNC cutting.

Maybe this is already possible and I do not know it?

Re: What's your personal choice for cad software?

Well... You asked... We believe there is more revenue/demand for 2d/2.5d than 3d. The two top CAD programs in the world are: AutoCad and Illustrator. If I were writing a program and wanted to support the most installed based of CAD programs, I would make darn sure we supported AutoCad and Illustrato...
