Re: GRBL Config

I'm confused. There's a set of pins on the shapeoko board labelled e-stop. If grbl doesn't do e-stop, what are those pins hooked to in the standard firmware?

Re: GRBL Config

The stop switch is currently wired to the e stop pins, but the machine only runs if the switch is pressed. I have to release it to stop.

GRBL Config

I'm adding an E-Stop switch that's Normally Closed with my Shapeoko 3.

Do I need to alter anything in the config other than uncommenting the line below?

#define INVERT_ALL_CONTROL_PINS

Re: Additive Aerospace Limit Switches and new Z-Axis plate

For the record - it appears that 18mm standoffs (just a mm under 3/4" ) appear to work with the switches moved to the outside of the bracket.

This is combined with turning the router 45 degrees. Thanks to AZArtisan for the suggestion.

Re: Additive Aerospace Limit Switches and new Z-Axis plate

FWIW, I 3D-printed new, shorter standoffs. a) Fusion 360 wins over Solidworks for ease of adding internal threads to designs. I spent two hours with videos and write-ups of adding threads in Solidworks knowing that the answer was in Fusion, but not believing it could really be that difficult in soli...

Re: Additive Aerospace Limit Switches and new Z-Axis plate

Here's a top-down photo. Basically, the router body is hitting the horizontal plate that holds the Z-axis switch. Looking at it from this angle, I'm thinking that shorter standoffs just might do the trick. https://goo.gl/photos/4mLYoWhthwsD66z58 FWIW - I emailed Fablicator through his storefront and...

Additive Aerospace Limit Switches and new Z-Axis plate

So I finally got around to installing the new Z-Axis plate upgrade. Unfortunately when I tried to home the machine, the plate that holds the Z-axis limit switch is blocking the upward travel of the router. Has anyone else worked through this issue? I sent a P.M. to Fablicator, but I haven't seen too...

I think it just might be the number next to the macro

Re: UGS Platform - macros?

I found the newer UI a little confusing, but it still works. I use UGS macros for setting my G54 WCS and navigating to X0Y0

What's the particular problem that you're experiencing?

Re: BCNC: My freezing problem solved - M7 was the villain

Thanks. I know that I've had some stalls with F360 output in bCNC.
