Re: Spindle wont go up anymore at beginning of job
Zero the Z and jog it up a few mm before running the job,it still knows where zero is. Unless you define a retract height and code for it,it will just run from where you left it.

Re: PlexiGlass is not for beginners :)
The work machine runs a single flute tool @ 22k with a feed of 3000mm/min,I extrapolated my settings from that.
Single flute is the key, along with cast material.

Re: Idlers carrying the Z...
So.... I found the culprit without the use of new wheels, turns out it was a bad fastener. I have spent the morning replacing all the M6 bolts with hardened socket cap versions instead, its cured the problem although im considering a precision bush for the v wheel mounting holes as there is,to my mind...

Idlers carrying the Z...
I have ended up in a situation where the idlers are carrying the Z instead of the V wheels.... I am on the limit for the gantry weight so Im wondering if the V wheels have just worn out after 30 hrs of runtime? The wheels are intact with no splitting and it seems that it only one wheel that isnt mak...

Speed was 250mm/min with a .15mm stepdown,3mm Endmill @11000 RPM. Surface finish quality is very high on my list. Total machine time was 2:47mins.

Re: S3 stops mid-job
Curious for those who are still getting disconnects with the cap, are you running a laptop or PC, and if a laptop do you still get the disconnects with the laptop running from battery? I am getting disconnects with the capacitor, running a PC, while turning off the router. Try switching the router ...

C3D's support really has taken a great turn since Jorge started dealing with the customers. I really +1 it I agree,Jorge has been really on it,he even green lighted me to mod the board to see whats what,I work with electronics manufacturers and this never happens,C3D have kept with their enthusiast...

Re: S3 stops mid-job
Just to add to this,my rig is a proper workstation machine, not a laptop. So YMMV.....perhaps that is a caveat of the success I have had.
Just running the laptop on battery should help,it will certainly confirm/deny if its a causation factor.
